Our history:

 

The first thoughts of DHC Wargames Club eventually took shape in early 2001, when three of its founding members visited a wargames convention. While all of us had been wargaming for more or less a long time, this sparked our interest in historical wargaming. That is where things stood for nearly about a year, until a couple of unrelated decisions got us started on planning. This process took yet an other year (great deeds take time), until five of us founded the club in March 2003. But even then we were not unprepared, for work on our first historical scenario was nearly completed then.

These days DHC Wargames Club (the initials stand for the three hometowns of the founding members – Dortmund, Hagen und Castrop-Rauxel) consists of its five founding members.

We play various systems, in various scales and periods. Our interests are not restricted to historical wargames, but we play both SciFi and Fantasy games as well.

 

Our future:

 

Our future goals are to expend both the games systems and periods, as well as the terrain to go with it. We hope to increase the number of our members.

We will increase the number of regular meeting to play, we will be holding campaigns and visit an increasing number of conventions to bring this hobby to others .
